We celebrated Christmas 2011 and the 2012 New Year Barcelona style! For ten days and nine nights we were immersed in Catalonian culture. Gaudi was everywhere in the architecture and the City was busting with history. Barcelona is no stranger to nightlife, however. We had a few great nights out on the town and won’t forget the experiences!
Only a forty minute train ride from Barcelona, Montserrat offer views you won’t find anywhere else in the world! Our day was full of memorable moments including attending mass, hiking the mountain and seeing the black faced Madonna.

Sant Sadurni d’Anoia
As part of a side trip from our time in Barcelona, we visited the the vineyard at Codorniu in San Sadurni d’Anoia. This half day trip from Barcelona was well worth it. Highlights from the day included a tour of the vineyard, delicious cava tasting and breathtaking views!
Tossa de Mar
Of all our side trips from Barcelona, Tossa de Mar offered the most non-tourist environment. We were able stroll the village and beach without fighting through any crowd. For anyone visiting the area, this town is a must visit. Our day in Tossa de Mar is best seen through pictures.
